Gas vs battery for climbing
Gas top-handle saws (e.g. Stihl MS 201 T, Husqvarna T540 XP, Echo CS-2511T) give the most sustained power and the lightest powerheads. Battery top-handle saws (Stihl MSA 220 T, Husqvarna T540i XP, Makita, DeWalt, Milwaukee) trade runtime for near-silent, emission-free operation — valuable in residential and noise-sensitive work.
