Chainsaw Production Database

A free, independent chainsaw production database and specifications dataset — 401 models from 32 manufacturers, with source-verified specs and a machine-readable JSON endpoint.

What this database contains

SawFacts maintains a structured chainsaw production database covering 401 chainsaw models from 32 manufacturers (Black and Decker, Black and Decker, Craftsman, DeWalt, DeWalt, Echo, EGO, EGO, Einhell, Einhell, Greenworks, Greenworks, Husqvarna, Husqvarna, Kress, Makita, Makita, Milwaukee, Milwaukee, Oregon Tool, Oregon Tool, Ridgid, Ridgid, Ryobi, Ryobi, Shindaiwa, Stihl, Sun Joe, Sun Joe, WEN, WEN, Worx). Each record ties a model to its manufacturer, its power class, and its source-verified specifications. This chainsaw production data is compiled from publicly available manufacturer sources and normalized so models can be browsed, searched, and compared side by side.

Power classes

The database organizes every model into 3 power classes:

Production years

Each model carries fields for its production-year span (start and end year) so a model can be placed in time as that data is verified and added. Production years are populated from manufacturer sources where documented.

This is a database of chainsaw models, manufacturers, production years, and specifications. It does not include manufacturing output or unit-production-volume figures.

Source-verified specifications

Across all models the specifications database tracks comparable, unit-aware fields including engine displacement (cc), engine power (hp / kW), motor power (W) and voltage (V) for electric saws, guide bar length, weight, chain pitch and gauge, chain speed, fuel and oil capacity, and warranty. Values are stored in canonical metric units and displayed in both imperial and metric.

Machine-readable production data

The full dataset is available as a free, machine-readable JSON feed at https://www.sawfacts.com/api/products (alongside /api/categories, /api/brands, /api/products/{slug}, and /api/compare). The page also embeds a schema.org Dataset description so search and answer engines can discover this chainsaw production database directly.
